A new rumor out of China indicates Huawei still has plans to release the Huawei D8 even though the timing has been pushed back to 2016. An original roadmap for Huawei devices showed the Huawei D8 on schedule for 2015, but that is not going to happen.

All of this adds up to a device targeted at the high end where Huawei hopes to start competing against Samsung’s devices. Early indications are that the device will be priced in excess of 5,000 yuan ($ 774 USD).
