Pre-orders for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab E are said to open May 6th on AT&T.
According to trusted sources, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab E will soon be up for pre-order on AT&T’s wireless network. It’ll cost 0$ down payment, and just $ 10 per month thereafter plus the cost of your data allowance. The contract-free price is yet to be revealed.
As a refresher, the Galaxy Tab E sports a 8-inch display and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. A conservative 1.5GB of RAM is onboard with 16GB of internal memory (not all usable). However, if you need more, just pop a microSD card into the Tab E’s built-in slot. Google’s latest OS version in that of Marshmallow is pre-loaded, so there’s no need to wait on the update after purchasing.
Buyers will get some apps from the AT&T-owned DIRECTV and get access to Samsung’s KNOX security features, which will also be preloaded. Color choices that’ll be available remain to be heard from the carrier, but we’ll find out soon.

There’s no better way to build up excitement for a device than by incorporating it into some historic moment, and that’s exactly what Samsung did with the Gear 360. Casey Neistat took Samsung’s 360 degree camera to the Oscars just a few days ago and managed to capture Leonard DiCaprio’s first ever win for his role in The Revenant, all in 360 degree video.
And, of course, it got uploaded to YouTube, which also shows off YouTube’s ability to play 360 degree videos. Watching it in a normal YouTube window is a little weird, since it basically just looks like a distorted fish-eye angle, but if you have a browser capable of watching it in surround video, it’s worth checking out.
